Andrew Crossland
My mission is to help enable global decarbonisation, making energy more affordable and empowering people to take ownership.
I have spent my career working at the intersection of engineering, data, and energy policy. From a PhD at Durham University through international roles in renewable energy, battery storage, and microgrid development — spanning Africa, the Pacific Islands, New Zealand, and the UK — I have been driven by a single goal: making clean energy work in the real world.
MyGridNZ grew out of that work. It builds on the platform I established for Great Britain and applies the same real-time data and analysis to Aotearoa New Zealand — a country uniquely positioned to demonstrate what a near-100% renewable electricity system looks like in practice.
